Despite mounting pressure, Real Madrid have been somehow able to end the year on a positive note, with three back-to-back victories in all competitions.

However, their woes are far from over, with the club still suffering from an injury crisis, in addition to a lack of cohesion between Xabi Alonso and the players.

Real Madrid’s depth has also been tested, which has led to calls for the team to reinforce itself in the upcoming January transfer window.

Real Madrid to allow only one transfer in January

However, journalist Jorge Picon has offered an update on Real Madrid’s transfer policy, effectively confirming that the club won’t make any moves in January.

The club will allow only one transfer in this winter transfer window in the form of Endrick.

The Brazilian international is set to join Olympique Lyon on a short-term loan deal after struggling to find a place in Xabi Alonso’s plans.

With the World Cup just around the corner, Endrick wants regular game time to be able to fight for his place in the Brazilian national team.

Apart from Endrick, there will not be any more movements in the Real Madrid squad, including players like Gonzalo Garcia, whose future has come under the radar lately.

Real Madrid will also not make any new signings despite growing pressure to sign a new right-back amid Dani Carvajal and Trent Alexander-Arnold’s injury problems.

The team may also welcome the addition of a new centre-back and a midfielder. But it appears Real Madrid have concentrated their efforts in the summer of 2026, with up to four players awaiting a call from president Florentino Perez.
