Real Madrid maintained their strong La Liga start to 2026 with a 2-0 win at Valencia, Alvaro Carreras and Kylian Mbappe on target at Mestalla.

According to Football Espana, Carreras earned an eight and was decisive at both ends. He broke the hosts’ resistance before Mbappe struck in stoppage time.

Thibaut Courtois received 6.5 and did not face a save. Debutant David Jimenez was given seven for a composed first La Liga outing, with Raul Asencio also on seven and Dean Huijsen 6.5, steadier as it progressed. Valencia were restricted to no shots on target.

Aurelien Tchouameni and Fede Valverde each scored seven, forming a solid base. Eduardo Camavinga, 6.5, started on the left of a midfield four and coped relatively well.

Arda Guler was marked 6.5 after neat links in the final third. Gonzalo Garcia, selected amid absences for Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo Goes, got six. Mbappe earned 6.5, largely quiet until his late clincher.

Among the substitutes, Trent Alexander-Arnold returned with six. Brahim Diaz came on to supply Mbappe’s goal and took 6.5, while Franco Mastantuono was given six. Jorge Cestero was not rated, another outing for the La Fabrica graduate in Alvaro Arbeloa’s group.

The result extends Madrid’s impressive league run, built on control at the back and clinical edge.
