Real Madrid ready to ban two players from participating vs Barcelona | OneFootball

La Liga giants Real Madrid are expected to inform both Federico Valverde and Aurélien Tchouaméni that they will not be permitted to feature in the club’s showdown with arch rivals Barcelona this weekend.

This comes after the midfield duo came to blows at Valdebebas on Thursday.

It is the story which has gripped Spanish football across the day to date – the latest altercation between members of the first-team setup at Real Madrid.

This time round, though, the nature of the incident was altogether more serious.

After clashing during training for the 2nd day in succession, the aforementioned Fede Valverde and Aurélien Tchouaméni carried their animosity back to the dressing room.

As the former repeatedly accused his French teammate of leaking information regarding their prior back-and-forth to the media, Tchouaméni, according to Diario AS, struck Valverde with a ‘hard punch’.

The Uruguayan had earlier in the day refused to shake his midfield partner’s hand, before targeting Tchouaméni with a number of dangerous challenges on the grass.

Valverde, after being floored by his teammate, split his head open, requiring a hospital visit and stitches for the open wound.

The entire incident is being taken extremely seriously behind the scenes in Spain’s capital.

So much so that both Valverde and Tchouaméni look set to be suspended by their own employers for the weekend ahead.

As per a report from El Chiringuito TV:

‘The most likely scenario is that neither will play in El Clásico. A disciplinary file has been opened on them.’
