Real Madrid President Florentino Perez was re-elected on Sunday night, taking 65% of the vote against rival Enrique Riqulme, which will extend his reign until 2029 at the very least. Now the Real Madrid members await the accomplishment of his election promises.

Perez has already done the work to sign Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate and Inter’s Denzel Dumfries, while it has been an open secret that Jose Mourinho will be appointed as his next manager. On top of that, Perez promised that he would on Tuesday be making a €150m bid for a star player that is midfielder or a forward.

For some time it has been reported that Vitinha is a dream signing for Real Madrid to fix their midfield issues, and on Friday it transpired that Paris Saint-Germain teammate Joao Neves was the second in a three-man shortlist to be the subject of that €150m bid. Yet Cadena Cope have assured that PSG have no intention of selling Vitinha or Neves, while Sport say that agent Jorge Mendes, who represents both players, has no intention of forcing the issue due to his strong relationship with Nasser Al-Khelaifi and PSG. Marca add that the recent return to cordial terms between Real Madrid and PSG do not have any intention to sell, and have no intention either wants to leave.

The third member of their shortlist for the €150m bid was reportedly Bayern Munich star Michael Olise. Yet Herbert Hainer, the President of the Bavarian outfit, has publicly rejected any suggestion that he could be sold, noting that even a €200m bid would not sway them. Over the last 24 hours, it has also been suggested that Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez could be one of the alternatives.
