Erling Haaland has begun the 25/26 season in scintillating form for club and country. He has scored 12 goals in 9 games for Manchester City, and his overall game looks to have evolved this season. But, like every season, as soon as Haaland hits his straps, reports emerge linking Manchester City’s number-nine with a move to Real Madrid or Barcelona. Now, a new report indicates that Real Madrid is making their move to attempt to woo Erling Haaland. But it’s a move that seems to be a non-starter, considering the length of Haaland’s Manchester City contract and his love for the club, which shines through when he plays.

Real Madrid have reportedly been in touch with Erling Haaland’s camp over a potential move to Spain.

Mark Brus has reported for CaughtOffside that Real Madrid have contacted Erling Haaland’s camp to assess the possibility of a potential move for Erling Haaland. Furthermore, Brus reports that Real Madrid could have ‘huge’ money to spend next summer. Brus adds that there is a chance that Real Madrid could sell Vinicius Junior to a Saudi Pro League club for a transfer fee of up to €250 million. If Vinicius Junior was sold, Real Madrid could turn their attention to signing Erling Haaland. As per Mark Brus’ report, Manchester City do not want to sell Haaland, nor is there any indication that Haaland would be interested in leaving Manchester City anytime soon.

Once again, there appears to be little to no chance of Erling Haaland leaving Manchester City anytime soon.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: there is seemingly little to no chance of Erling Haaland leaving Manchester City anytime soon. Haaland is contracted with City until 2034, and he appears determined to lead the club into a new era. Watching Haaland play this season, it is clear that he loves the club, the fans and the environment that he is in. The long-term contract extension he signed last season shows his intentions. Erling Haaland is committed to Manchester City for the long haul. If he weren’t, he wouldn’t have signed such a lucrative contract extension. It’s as simple as that.

On top of that, it is clear that Erling Haaland loves Manchester City. That shines through with his play. His celebration with the travelling City fans after his goal against Brentford at the GTech Community Stadium last weekend was a special moment. He shared his goal celebration with the travelling fans, which highlights what the City’s fans support means to Haaland. That’s just another indicator as to why any chance of Haaland leaving City for Real Madrid, or any other club for that matter in the near future, is just a pipe dream.

Erling Haaland is one of the world’s best players; that isn’t in doubt. As such, he will constantly be linked with a move to a club like Real Madrid who think it is their divine right to sign the world’s best players. But Erling Haaland is committed to Manchester City. His long-term contract shows this as does his love for Manchester City which shines through on the pitch.
