Real Madrid reveal nominees for January Player of the Month | OneFootball

The nominees for Real Madrid Player of the Month have on Tuesday been unveiled online.

And the shortlist is a star-studded one.

Real Madrid, over the course of January, took to the pitch on a hefty nine occasions across all competitions.

And Carlo Ancelotti’s troops racked up wins in all but one, a 5-2 drubbing at the hands of arch rivals Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup final.

Los Blancos shone particularly bright in the attacking third, averaging over three goals-per-game.

In turn, it should not come as much of a surprise to hear of attackers dominating the shortlist of candidates for Player of the Month.

Up for the prize are all of Kylian Mbappé, Vinícius Jr, and Rodrygo.

Moving back into midfield, and rounding out the five-man list of nominees are Jude Bellingham and Federico Valverde.

Turning attentions back towards the pitch, Real Madrid will be hopeful of putting a disappointing start to February firmly behind them on Wednesday night, when the Spanish champions take on Leganés in the Copa del Rey quarter-finals.
