With Joshua Kimmich’s contract at Bayern Munich expiring at the end of the season, there have been rumours linking him with a summer move to Real Madrid.
The 30-year-old German international has yet to renew his contract with the Bavarians despite having held talks over a new deal, leading to speculations over his future.
With Real Madrid looking to replace Toni Kroos and Luka Modric’s contract expiring at the end of the season, Kimmich has been touted as a potential target as he would arrive on free.
However, as per the latest update from BILD in Germany, Real Madrid are no longer considering a move for Kimmich in the summer.
This is because the midfielder is entering the final stages of his contract renewal talks with Bayern Munich, who have put forth a proposal to keep him at the Allianz Arena beyond this season.

The Bavarian giants are hopeful that the German ace will accept the contract offer, given that he has become a central figure again this season under Vincent Kompany.
As such, the possibility of a transfer to Real Madrid looks unlikely, with the Spanish capital club also ruling out a move for Kimmich.
As for potential reinforcements in midfield in the summer, the reigning champions of Spain and Europe are looking at Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi as a target.
Any move, however, will likely depend on whether Real Madrid part ways with any of their current midfielders.
