Kylian Mbappe has broken his silence following Real Madrid’s painful UEFA Champions League exit, delivering a strong and emotional message that shows both disappointment and determination.

The French forward, who found the net during the second leg against Bayern Munich, took to Instagram to address fans after Madrid’s quarter-final elimination. 

The post, accompanied by a striking black-and-white image of Mbappe walking away during the match in Munich, quickly gained traction across social media.

What’s the message?

Mbappe began by acknowledging the team’s effort and the harsh reality of falling short on one of football’s biggest stages. 

He made it clear that the squad had pushed until the very end, but ultimately lacked what was needed to progress further.

“We gave it our all until the very end, but it wasn’t enough. 

“It’s disappointing to be knocked out of such a major competition, but we have to look ahead,” he wrote.

Furthermore, Mbappe shifted the tone towards accountability and self-assessment, something that has often defined Real Madrid’s response to setbacks over the years. 

“We need to take a hard look at ourselves to avoid this kind of disappointment again. 

“We will never give up!!! At Madrid, failure has never been and never will be an option. 

“But I promise you one thing: we will start winning again, and very soon.”

Despite the elimination, the Frenchman’s performance remains one of the few positives for Madrid, as he was on the scoresheet in both legs.

Although he could have done better with his finishing in the second leg at the Allianz Arena, his overall contribution is still one of the few positives that Real Madrid can build further momentum on.
