Real Madrid star Antonio Rüdiger has emerged as a doubt to feature in the club’s upcoming La Liga meeting with Valencia.

That’s according to Diario AS, who have on Monday provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Spain’s capital.

Real Madrid are of course fresh off an altogether damaging defeat over the weekend, put to the sword by four goals to nil by arch rivals Barcelona.

And it was en route to as much that the aforementioned Rüdiger picked up a muscular problem.

Though he managed to see out the full 90 minutes, the German was spotted limping around the hour mark, signalling to the bench his evident discomfort.

Rüdiger, in turn, was put through a round of medical tests at Valdebebas on Monday.

And, as revealed by Diario AS, as much confirmed that the stopper is dealing with a case of muscular overload, rather than any kind of actual injury.

Nevertheless, Rüdiger is considered to be ‘in doubt’ to play his part in Real Madrid’s weekend meeting with Valencia.
