Real Madrid star speaks out on summer signings & Mourinho return | OneFootball

Real Madrid star Thibaut Courtois has this weekend provided his take on the club’s busy summer behind the scenes to date.

The brass at the Bernabéu have of course been hard at work across the early weeks of the summer. Following another tropyhless season in 2025/26, Florentino Pérez and co. have set about revolutionising the first-team setup at Valdebebas.

First in the door was a new headmaster, in the form of José Mourinho. And the Portuguese has since been followed by a host of fresh additions on the player front, too.

Deals have already been announced for all of Denzel Dumfries, Ibrahima Konaté, Marc Cucurella and Bernardo Silva, with more big names expected to follow.

Speaking during an exchange with the media whilst on international duty with Belgium this weekend, Blancos star Thibaut Courtois was therefore drawn on the ongoing upheaval at Real Madrid.

And the Belgian appeared enthused by the business done by his club thus far, assuring:

“Real Madrid have signed good players and a top manager. Now it’s up to us to respond.”
