Eduardo Camavinga is closing out one of the most difficult seasons of his career at Real Madrid, and the consequences are beginning to pile up on multiple fronts.

The Frenchman has struggled for consistency and a regular starting berth under both Xabi Alonso and Alvaro Arbeloa this season, with his infamous red card in Munich serving as the defining low point of a campaign he will want to forget quickly.

Camavinga determined to stay and fight

Despite the difficulties, MARCA reports that Camavinga has no intention of leaving Real Madrid this summer.

The 23-year-old is fully aware that his season has fallen well short of expectations, but his plan is to remain at the Santiago Bernabeu, fight for his place and prove his worth under whoever takes charge next season.

Camavinga’s versatility remains one of his biggest assets. Capable of playing a defensive pivot, a more advanced central midfielder, or even as a left-back, he offers genuine tactical flexibility to any coach.

Those around him describe a player who is well-liked in the dressing room and determined to use the disappointment of this season as motivation going forward.

Real Madrid keeping their options open

However, the club’s position is not as straightforward. Real Madrid remain open to a sale if the right offer arrives, according to the report.

With a managerial overhaul expected this summer and significant squad changes anticipated, Camavinga’s future is far from guaranteed, regardless of his own wishes.

Much may also depend on what happens in the coming hours. France coach Didier Deschamps is set to announce his World Cup squad, and a place on that list would go some way to restoring Camavinga’s confidence, though reports right now indicate otherwise.
