Kylian Mbappe has been undisputedly the best player for Real Madrid this season and possibly even in Europe’s top five leagues.

In just 13 matches in all competitions, Mbappe has racked up as many as 16 goals, making him one of the most productive players in Europe so far.

It appears Mbappe has stepped up his performances from last season, where he ended up as the club’s top scorer.

In fact, the Frenchman has been awarded the Golden Boot trophy, in light of his excellent performances last season.

Mbappe hopeful of winning trophies this season

Speaking at the presentation ceremony of the award today, Mbappe expressed his gratitude for the award.

“Thank you everyone for being here. It’s a real pleasure for me to receive the Golden Boot. Thank you everyone for this award.

“This is very important to me. It means a lot. I want to thank my teammates for being here and always helping me. We are an incredible group. We can win many things,” he said.

“It’s a pleasure to be here at Real Madrid, it’s always been my dream since I was a kid. Now I’m here and I hope to be here for many years.

“I want to thanks the Real Madrid fans, their support means a lot to me. I hope to win win the Golden Boot again next time, I’ve started well but let’s see. Thank you everyone,” he added.

Mbappe also said he is hopeful of winning titles with Real Madrid this season, now that the team is looking strong.

“We have an incredible squad, and I hope we win a lot of trophies this season,” said the former PSG superstar.

“The most important thing is the collective trophies, and I think we can win many things,” he added.

Early signs are looking quite good for Real Madrid, who are leading the league table with a substantial five point leader over rivals Barcelona.

Real Madrid have also secured three back-to-back wins in the UEFA Champions League and could consolidate their position inside the top eight if they can win against Liverpool next week.

Mbappe, for his part, will be central to Real Madrid’s success, having emerged as the club’s top scorer and the undisputed leader of the attack.
