La Liga giants Real Madrid’s active pursuit of RB Leipzig star Yan Diomandé is intended as a direct message to current Blancos standout Vinícius Jr.

This of course comes amid ongoing speculation surrounding the situation of the Brazilian in Spain’s capital.

The last 24 hours have seen the name of youngster Diomandé dominate the headlines across Europe, after word was forthcoming that Real Madrid had seen a big-money opening offer for the Ivorian rejected.

Los Blancos, though, are not thought to have been deterred, ready to return with an improved bid over the coming days.

And this move, it has since been revealed, comes as a warning message to a current member of José Mourinho’s attacking ranks.

As per a report from Real Madrid insider Javier Rodríguez Pascual, amid a surprise sudden round of reports linking the 26-year-old with a move to England with Arsenal, ahead of the expiration of his contract in 12 months’ time:

‘This is what I was told this morning: Diomandé’s signing message is aimed at Vinicius. Arsenal are the only possible destination for Vinicius this summer.’
