Real Madrid lock horns with Juventus in a mouthwatering UEFA Champions League showdown at the Santiago Bernabéu this Wednesday night.
Both teams will be looking to get all three points to climb the table.
The Spanish side are set to receive a timely boost with Trent Alexander-Arnold expected to rejoin the squad after missing six matches due to a hamstring problem.
The full-back has resumed full training and could make his return against Juventus, with Xabi Alonso also keeping the upcoming El Clásico in mind. Ferland Mendy has also edged closer to action, having recovered from a severe thigh injury sustained in last season’s Copa del Rey final.
Nevertheless, the Spanish giants will still be without Antonio Rüdiger, who continues to recover from a muscle injury. Dani Carvajal remains suspended for this fixture after his red card versus Marseille, while Dean Huijsen nurses a minor muscle issue. Dani Ceballos could make the squad after returning to training, whereas David Alaba is a doubt following a calf strain that forced him off against Getafe. On the brighter side, Thibaut Courtois has regained full fitness after showing discomfort in Madrid’s last outing.
Possible Real Madrid starting XI: Courtois; Valverde, Militao, Asencio, Carreras; Tchouameni, Camavinga; Mastantuono, Guler, Vinicius; Mbappe.
The match will kick off at 8pm BST on Wednesday 22nd October.
For supporters tuning in from the United Kingdom, the clash will be broadcast live on TNT Sports 5, with streaming available via the Discovery+ platform for TNT Sports subscribers.
