Real Madrid youngster set for imminent move to La Liga rivals | OneFootball

A member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid is all set to link up with newly-promoted Elche.

That’s according to transfer insider Javier Rodríguez Pascual, who points towards Álvaro Rodríguez as the player in question.

Youngster Álvaro for his part spent this past season out on loan away from the Santiago Bernabéu.

After linking up with fellow La Liga outfit Getafe for the duration of the campaign, the 21-year-old went on to rack up 22 appearances, chipping in with a pair of goals along the way.

Such production always made it unlikely that Álvaro would carve out a place for himself back in Xabi Alonso’s Real Madrid squad this coming season.

In turn, it should come as little surprise to hear of the striker preparing for a new chapter in his fledgling career.

As per a report from journalist Javier Rodríguez Pascual:

‘Álvaro Rodríguez will sign with Elche today.’
