With Xabi Alonso installed as their new manager, the Blues face a critical summer in terms of both incomings and outgoings.

Chelsea are said to be in the market for a centre back, whilst it’s thought they want to add another midfielder and attacker.

Alejandro Garnacho and Jamie Gittens face bleak Chelsea future

It’s believed Alonso will have a say in transfers, whilst Behdad Eghbali has said the youth focused model will be tweaked this summer.

It’s not just signings that are crucial for Chelsea, a number of outgoings are required in order to raise money and trim the squad down.

Despite only arriving last summer, the Blues are said to be open to offers for Garnacho, whilst there could be questions marks over Gittens.

Chelsea spent just shy of £90m on the duo last summer, but Law feels their future at Chelsea already looks “bleak.”

“Garnacho just looks lost at Chelsea,” he told The London Is Blue Podcast.

“He looks really lost already. Yeah, so the future currently looks a bit bleak for Garnacho and Gittens.”

Garnacho has scored eight goals and registered four assists in 43 appearances, whilst Gittens has scored one goal and registered five assists in 27 appearances.

Silva would give Chelsea the experience, leadership and winning mentality they are missing in the squad, but at this stage it’s hard to imagine a move materialising.
