According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, the Asociación Española de Árbitros de Fútbol has filed a complaint to the Comité de Competición seeking disciplinary proceedings against Florentino Pérez. It also demands a public apology from Real Madrid and Pérez over his remarks about referees.
Pérez recently alleged at a Tuesday press conference, then in a TV interview the following day, that there has been systemic corruption for two decades and that leagues were stolen. He cited winning seven Champions and seven Ligas, claimed others were taken, and said Madrid have lost 16 or 18 points this season to officiating.
The newly formed AESAF argues these statements fall outside legitimate free expression or sporting criticism, noting he did not confine himself to isolated errors but alleged a continuous criminal offence by the refereeing body. It asks for urgent precautionary measures to halt similar comments during proceedings, compensation for moral, reputational and professional damage, and a public rectification and apology from Real Madrid.
Pérez has also said he is compiling a 500-page dossier to submit to UEFA, which has not yet been filed. The refereeing collective fears it will include specific incidents and decisions naming officials.
There has been no response from Real Madrid so far. The club is focusing on finalising the dossier rather than replying to the referees, and continues to portray officials as part of a corrupt system sustained over two decades by Negreira.
