Bayern Munich could be interested in Ayyoub Bouaddi provided he is available for cheap.

The Lille midfielder has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal in the summer transfer window, emerging as one of the top priority targets for the Gunners.

After progressing from Lille’s youth academy, the youngster has made 96 senior appearances for the French club, including 42 outings during the 2025-26 campaign.

Do Bayern want Ayyoub Bouaddi?

Christian Falk has told exclusively to CFBayern Insider that Bayern are indeed looking at players similar to Bouaddi’s profile.

After securing agreements for Nathaniel Brown and Ismael Saibari, Bayern are not actively looking to add any more new faces before they can offload a few players.

Midfield is one area Bayern could look to invest, especially after Leon Goretzka’s departure.

The Bild journalist said: “It is TRUE: Bayern are looking at players of a similar profile to Ayyoub Bouaddi. That’s Christoph Freund’s job.

“I heard it’s not so hot with Bouaddi, in particular, as the position in midfield is full. You have Noël Aséko, who’s coming back from his loan spell with Hannover. Vincent Kompany had a phone call with the 20-year-old and told him that he wants to see the midfielder in pre-season.

“Then, there will be a decision made at the end of August as to whether the midfielder is suitable for this squad. There’s also Joshua Kimmich, Aleksandar Pavlović, and Laimer, who can play there. If Bouaddi is cheap, then perhaps it’s an option. But I don’t think he’s going to be so cheap that Bayern will make a deal without selling players first.”

Are Arsenal leading the race for Ayyoub Bouaddi?

Earlier this month, The Times reported that Arsenal have opened talks over a potential deal for the Lille youngster, who is also wanted by Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain.

The Premier League champions are looking to add a quality central midfielder to their ranks, and Bouaddi could be a great option for them.

Meanwhile, the Moroccan midfielder has insisted that he is paying little attention to transfer rumours while representing his country at the World Cup.

“I’m really happy to know that some clubs are interested in me but for now I’m only focused on the World Cup and we will try to give everything to do our best,” said Bouaddi after the Brazil match.

Bouaddi is valued at around £60.4m, and Bayern are unlikely to pay such amount even if they sell a few players, which means Arsenal have an advantage in the race.
