Remiro, Oyarzabal and Guedes lead Real Sociedad display | OneFootball

According to AS, Remiro was man of the match as Real Sociedad’s standouts Oyarzabal and Guedes drove a strong showing against FC Barcelona.

Oyarzabal had a goal ruled out for offside inside the opening minute. After two minutes Remiro produced a superb stop to deny Pedri during a first half largely controlled by the visitors, then on 32 minutes Oyarzabal volleyed in from a Guedes cross.

Turrientes, booked, and Brais Méndez were withdrawn on 56 minutes. After the hour Aihen replaced Sergio Gómez. Kubo’s night ended on 66 minutes as he was taken off on a stretcher, with Barrenetxea introduced.

Odriozola impressed from the bench, threading passes and delivering a cross that Oyarzabal almost converted on 72 minutes. Gorrotxategi added control in midfield. Aramburu, booked and replaced on 81 minutes, and Odriozola were both absent in the marking for Rashford’s goal.

Soler struggled early but improved after the break, supplying the assist for Guedes to make it 2-1 before being sent off for a heavy challenge on Pedri. Guedes had been lively throughout and finished smartly after a rebound from Joan García.

Jon Martín was dominant in the air, while Zubeldia coped well and was booked. Sergio Gómez defended stoutly and supported attacks, and Aihen stayed focused after coming on.
