Manchester United are reportedly looking again at highly-rated Parma goalkeeper Zion Suzuki after missing out on him in the past.
Chelsea also considered Suzuki in the summer and have continued to monitor his progress as he could now cost as much as £40million, according to a report from talkSPORT.
The Japan international has long looked like an impressive young talent, and he’s really starting to show his quality with some strong performances in Serie A this season.
According to talkSPORT, Parma would ideally like to keep Suzuki for a bit longer, but Man Utd are keen on him and a deal worth around £40m could be enough to bring him to Old Trafford.
It remains to be seen if Chelsea are likely to make an effort for the 22-year-old as they ultimately decided to sign Filip Jorgensen instead during the summer window, according to talkSPORT.

The Suzuki links are perhaps slightly surprising as United already have two strong options in goal, even if not everyone is convinced by Andre Onana.
The Cameroon shot-stopper had a difficult start to life with the Red Devils last season, but he’s improved this term and there are surely other positions much more in need of strengthening.
United also have Altay Bayindir as a very capable backup option, with the Turkey international performing superb penalty-saving heroics in the FA Cup win at Arsenal over the weekend.
Still, with Onana perhaps still not quite looking consistently reliable enough, there might be room for a young talent like Suzuki to come in as Ruben Amorim’s long-term number one.
The new United manager will no doubt be keen to put his own stamp on this squad, which is still largely made up of signings by his predecessor Erik ten Hag.
