Sky Sport Italia claim that Young Boys have raised their expectations for Zachary Athekame, but Milan set a maximum cost of €10m and the player is eager too.
There were reports last night that an agreement was in place between the clubs for circa €9m including add-ons, having seen the initial €7m proposal turned down.

However, Gianluca Di Marzio suggests this evening that Young Boys are trying to get more for their star player and feel that other clubs can spark a bidding war.
Milan are not prepared to get pushed too far and feel that €10m including bonuses is the maximum figure they want to spend.
They have the benefit of knowing that Athekame has put them top of the wish list, so will push along with his entourage for the transfer to San Siro.
The 20-year-old would be the second Swiss arrival of this week, because he’d follow in the footsteps of Ardon Jashari from Club Brugge.
