According to Mundo Deportivo, in the event of Lopez leaving, 17-year-old Pedro ‘Dro’ Fernandez would be promoted to the first team. He is seen as a bet for the future, and the youngster could provide that extra depth and quality that Flick’s team needs.

After all, he impressed during the first team’s preseason tour and got to have a unique experience under Hansi Flick’s orders. He was one of the standout performers of the tour in Asia, and it seems that he has the quality to help the first team if the need arises.
