Report – Inter Milan Fall Behind Porto & Roma In Race For In-Demand Porto Midfielder | OneFootball

Porto and Roma are currently ahead of Inter Milan in a three-way race to sign highly-rated Palmeiras star Richard Rios.

According to Sportitalia via FCInterNews, Porto are the only team to have submitted an official bid for the 25-year-old.

Indeed, the Dragons had tried to beat the competition by presenting Palmeiras with a €17 million offer.

However, their proposal fell short of the Brazilian club’s request, with Verdao holding out for their €25m valuation.

In addition to Porto, Roma have shown a strong interest in Richard Rios.

New boss Gian Piero Gasperini has instructed the club to sign the Colombian after taking charge this summer.

Indeed, Gasperini views Rios as an upgrade on his current midfield options and wants the deal closed quickly.

Therefore, Inter are at risk of missing out on the ex-Flamengo star’s signature.

Rios doesn’t top Inter’s wishlist. However, he’s among the first alternatives to the club’s pursuit of Ederson.
