Serie A giants Inter Milan have already decided to bring Club Brugge rising star Aleksandar Stankovic back to the club.
According to L’Interista, the Nerazzurri have prepared a lengthy five-year contract for the Serbian midfielder.
Despite selling Aleksandar Stankovic to the Belgian club last summer, Inter are keen to reunite with the 20-year-old.
Furthermore, they are ready to shell out €23 million to trigger a buy-back clause in their agreement with Club Brugge.
Therefore, Stankovic’s return to San Siro already looks like a mere formality.
Even though Serbia will not compete at the FIFA World Cup, Inter are reportedly eager to secure Stankovic’s return before this summer’s tournament.
Moreover, they have already prepared a five-year contract for one of Europe’s most highly rated teenagers.
Despite stiff competition for the midfield spots at San Siro, Stankovic could get a prominent role from the get-go.
Indeed, Cristian Chivu has no intention of using him as Nicolo Barella’s deputy. Furthermore, he won’t play second fiddle to Piotr Zielinski either.
Meanwhile, Stankovic’s impending return is likely to facilitate Davide Frattesi’s exit.
The Italian midfielder has found himself at the bottom of the pecking order and could seek a way out in the summer.
