Inter Milan will reportedly table a tangible proposal for Como rising star Nico Paz only at the end of the 2024/25 season.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInter1908, Davide Frattesi’s potential winter exit wouldn’t change anything.
Frattesi has expressed his desire to leave Giuseppe Meazza after tumbling down the pecking order under Simone Inzaghi.
However, the Serie A champions are unwilling to grant his wish.
Inter would only agree to sell the 25-year-old for a bid in the region of €45 million.
For his suitors, Roma, that’s an excessive price, and, in turn, the situation is on standby.
It’s no secret Inter are looking to team Paz up with his compatriot Lautaro Martinez.
But Real Madrid could spoil the Italians’ plans, considering they have a buyback clause.
Madrid’s interest in Paz won’t deter the Nerazzurri from approaching Como, especially if they sell Frattesi.
The 25-year-old would ideally leave now, yet a lack of alternatives has seen Inzaghi forbid the sale.
Even if Roma somehow lure Frattesi to the Stadio Olimpico in the coming days, Inter would stay still this winter.
Indeed, Paz’s arrival next summer remains among the club’s top priorities.
