Club Brugge star Aleksandar Stankovic could reportedly return to Inter Milan next summer to replace Hakan Calhanoglu.
According to Tuttosport via FCInter1908, the Nerazzurri will aim to re-sign the young midfielder if the Turk leaves the club.
Despite cementing his first-team status at San Siro this season, Calhanoglu’s future in Milan is hanging in the balance.
Heavily linked with Fenerbahce and Galatasaray last summer, the 31-year-old has yet to sign a new contract.
Therefore, there’s a chance Hakan Calhanoglu could sever ties with the 20-time Serie A champions at the end of the season.

With less than two years left to run on Calhanoglu’s contract, Inter may try to cash in on their playmaker next year.
Meanwhile, they’ve already identified Aleksandar Stankovic as a perfect candidate to replace the skilled midfielder.
Though Inter sanctioned Stankovic’s transfer to the Jan Breydel Stadium only six months ago, they could soon bring him back to Italy.
Indeed, there’s a €23 million buy-back clause that allows the Nerazzurri to engineer his return in the summer of 2026.
