According to Tuttosport newspaper, Juventus are interested in Elche starlet Rodrigo Mendoza, who has a €20m release clause.

The 20-year-old has scored two goals in 10 appearances across all competitions this season, and the Bianconeri have been following him for several months.

According to Tuttosport, Juventus scouted Mendoza during the U20 World Cup and have continued watching him during the international break in November while he was on duty with Spain U21.

It is no secret that Juventus are looking for a new deep-lying playmaker and Mendoza has already been compared to Barcelona star Pedri in Spain.

According to the report, Elche already rejected offers from Saudi clubs and Como in the summer before Mendoza signed a new contract until 2028, which includes a €20m clause.

Tuttosport reports that Manchester City and Real Madrid are also interested in the promising Spanish midfielder, but the Bianconeri will try to play their cards right in the coming months to bring him to Turin.

Lille’s Ayyoub Bouaddi, 18, is reported to be another promising midfielder in the Bianconeri’s agenda.
