Inter Milan took on Napoli at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona yesterday evening.

It was a top-of-the-table clash. Therefore, there was a sense that it was a potential Serie A title-decider.

Inter Milan came into the match one point ahead of Napoli.

And the Nerazzurri looked like they would be extending that lead at the top of the table. They went ahead in the first half through a sumptuous Federico Dimarco free kick.

However, Napoli put the Nerazzurri penalty area under an onslaught for virtually the entire second half.

Inter held out until the final few minutes of the match. However, eventually substitute Phillip Billing managed to equalize for the home side.

The Napoli fans naturally could hardly contain their emotions after Billing’s late goal.

And so there were jubilant celebrations in the crowd. The atmosphere at the Maradona became even more intense.

But around the Inter directors’ box, FCIN1908 report, things took a bit of a sour turn.

The outlet report that there were shouts of “This time you can’t still the match! Go home, you thieves!”

These were directed at Inter Milan President Beppe Marotta in particular. As well as Nerazzurri Vice-President Javier Zanetti.
