Fabio Paratici only accepted the Fiorentina job in February, but multiple sources claim he is being targeted by Milan to be their new director of sport.

The Rossoneri are having a complete clear out of their hierarchy after the failure to secure a Champions League qualifying spot last night.

Coach Max Allegri, CEO Giorgio Furlani, director of sport Igli Tare and technical director Geoffrey Moncada were all fired using a single official statement.

While Andoni Areola and Xavi have been mentioned as candidates to be the new coach, their first task must be finding a new director of sport to lead the transfer strategy.

It is claimed that Milan special advisor Zlatan Ibrahimovic has had direct contact with Paratici to ask for his availability.

The director only took the Fiorentina job in February after leaving Tottenham Hotspur, while before that he was director of sport at Juventus from 2010 to 2021.

It was during that period that his somewhat creative accounting techniques on profits from player sales saw Juventus fined and docked points.

Paratici was suspended from all football activity for 30 months in April 2023 and returned to the club in October 2025.

It was the possibility of an extended ban that prompted Milan to withdraw their job offer to Paratici in April 2025.

Another candidate for Milan would be current Atalanta director Tony D’Amico, but he is widely reported to be heading towards Roma instead.

Atalanta will replace D’Amico with former Juventus director Cristiano Giuntoli.
