Roma and Juventus have reportedly joined Inter Milan in the race to sign in-demand Sassuolo midfielder Ismael Kone.
According to Tuttosport via FCInterNews, the Canadian star could be the subject of a three-way transfer race this summer.
It’s no secret that Inter Milan will undergo a midfield overhaul at the end of the season.
Indeed, Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s contract is due to expire in June, with the Nerazzurri still undecided about his future.
Meanwhile, Davide Frattesi is likely to sever ties with the San Siro outfit after another disappointing season.
Finally, Hakan Calhanoglu remains a concrete target for Galatasaray, who will do everything to lure him to Istanbul.
Inter had tried to sign Roma star Manu Kone last summer, only for the Giallorossi to firmly rebuff their approach.
In the meantime, Gian Piero Gasperini’s side had identified Ismael Kone as the Frenchman’s potential heir.
However, they failed to concretize their interest.
That could change this summer, with Roma reportedly reigniting their pursuit of the 23-year-old, who has made 26 Serie A appearances this term.
Signing Kone could be easier said than done, as the Giallorossi will have to beat none other than Inter and Juventus to the Canadian’s signature.
