Hakan Calhanoglu has never asked to leave Inter Milan, and it will not change despite being courted by Fenerbahce.

According to Corriere dello Sport via FCInterNews, the 31-year-old will not force his exit under any circumstances.

Though it seems like Hakan Calhanoglu secretly hopes to move to Istanbul, he won’t press the issue.

Meanwhile, it’s up to Fenerbahce and their arch-rivals Galatasaray to convince Inter to let their midfield stalwart go.

Inter boss Cristian Chivu reportedly sees Calhanoglu as an essential part of his squad.

Furthermore, the club expects the Turkish star to join the training camp at Appiano Gentile on Wednesday.

Calhanoglu himself has never opposed the prospect of returning to San Siro after an extended summer break.

However, his future at Inter remains in limbo.

Galatasaray failed to match Inter’s significant €30 million asking price, causing the deal to fall apart.

Yet, Fenerbahce’s rumored €20m bid could suffice, with the Nerazzurri reluctant to keep the player against his will.
