AC Milan and Inter Milan lead the way in Serie A, but Como boast the most resourceful ownership in Italy’s top flight.
According to Forbes via FCInterNews, the Hartono brothers, who run the club, are the richest owners in Serie A.
Como’s meteoric rise from lower-league football to the very top of Serie A has not come out of the blue.
Instead, the club’s success stems from the Hartono brothers’ savvy investments, strategic management, and long-term vision for growth.
On that basis, it’s no surprise that Cesc Fabregas turned down a move to San Siro last summer to pledge his future to the Lariani.
Forbes ranks several Serie A club owners among the world’s billionaires.
Leading the way are the Hartono brothers of Como, with a combined fortune of $38.5 billion.
With such significant financial backing, Fabregas’ men have emerged as genuine top-four contenders this season.
Meanwhile, Roma owner Dan Friedkin follows with $11.4 billion, while Joey Saputo’s family, who own Bologna, sit third with $6.4 billion.
Milan’s owner, Gerry Cardinale, appears on this prestigious list for the first time, worth $1.8 billion, trailing behind Oaktree’s Howard Marks at $2.2 billion.
