Inter Milan took another giant step toward completing their first domestic double since 2010 with a dramatic 2-1 win over Torino in the Coppa Italia quarter-finals.
According to Calcio e Finanza via FCInter1908, last night’s victory will pour around €1.5 million into the Nerazzurri’s coffers.
It’s been 16 years since Inter last won the Serie A and Coppa Italia titles in the same season.
Indeed, it was Jose Mourinho who inspired the San Siro heavyweights to this feat back in 2010 during a historic treble-winning campaign.
Now, Cristian Chivu, who was part of that team, could follow in the footsteps of his favorite manager.

Chivu’s side will face the winner of a handsomely-looking quarter-final tie between Napoli and Como in the semis.
Regardless of the outcome, the Nerazzurri have already made €1.5 million from reaching the last four.
However, they’ll have ‘4.4 million’ reason to ascend the throne this season.
Meanwhile, securing a spot in the grand final alone would guarantee around €1.9 million in prize money.
With that in mind, the Serie A leaders have every reason to go all the way in this competition.
