Liverpool have an unexpected chance to sign an unbelievable talent. Richard Hughes, please make it happen.

Liverpool are looking to transform their attack this summer after an incredibly disappointing campaign last time out. Of course, they'd hoped to have already done that with their record-breaking arrivals in 2025 but things didn't turn out that way.

Now Mohamed Salah has departed, too, leaving Liverpool searching for more answers. They'll need to replace the Egyptian's output and boost what we saw last season.

There are a few available players who can do that. There are some unavailable ones, too, as we've seen with Liverpool's €100m offer for Yan Diomande.

But of the available group, none may be more exciting than Nico Paz. The Argentine was unbelievably good for Como last season and is now on the market.

Fabrizio Romano explained it: Real Madrid will activate their buyback clause for Paz, costing them around €10m. They don't have room in their squad for him, however, and that means a sale.

Los Blancos will hope to bag around €60m for Paz. It's a fee that will almost certainly look like a steal down the line.

Because make no mistake: Paz is an extraordinary talent. He's the kind of player who can fit into any team and he'd immediately boost Liverpool.

Six goals, 12 assists in Serie A last season. Como ran things through their attacking midfielder, aiming to get him on the ball as often as possible. Those are numbers that should only improve around more senior players, too.

But what really stands out about Paz is his defensive work. Not only does he provide elite attacking output but he also won 91 tackles last season. A genuinely remarkable figure that puts him as the no.1 attacking midfielder in Europe last season when you consider on and off the ball.

The real steal here is that he's mastered that defensive work at 21. He's also got the attacking output to support it all.

So here's a bold claim: there is no bigger talent available on the market right now that Nico Paz. His potential is extraordinary and Liverpool can consider this one as a routine win.

Real Madrid are making an enormous mistake in selling him. Please, Richard Hughes, capitalise.
