Rio Ngumoha has been recognised for his impressive start to the season.

That's how it goes, and it's a testament to the performances he has produced over the last couple of months.

Ngumoha arrived at Liverpool with a lot of hype. This summer, he's shown why that hype was justified. He made five goal contributions in five games for the first team in pre-season, scoring against Athletic Bilbao, Stoke City and Yokohama F.Marinos.

And when it was his chance against Newcastle - he took it. In the process writing himself in the club's history books by becoming Liverpool's youngest ever goal-scorer.

It's probably not the only record Ngumoha is going to break during his time at Anfield. It's important not to get too carried away by him. He's still very young, but right now the sky is the limit for his potential.

Ngumoha has proven himself to be a special talent. The kind of which very rarely bursts onto this scene so young.

Liverpool will manage him carefully. The club has always tried to contain the hype, which is why they even deleted footage of him in first-team training for the Inside Training series so that people would not get too carried away.

Sooner or later, if Ngumoha continues where he left off in pre-season, it's going to be impossible to contain the hype around him.

Especially now that he's been fully promoted to the first team and is very much considered the club's back-up option behind Cody Gakpo on the left-wing.
