Rob Edwards says Joao Gomes has been left out against Burnley due to a knee problem. According to ExpressAndStar.com, Wolves chose not to risk the midfielder on the final day at Turf Moor.
The Brazilian is expected to depart in the summer, with Atletico Madrid in talks over his signature.

Before kick-off, Edwards said Gomes had been feeling his knee, missed training the previous day, and the staff decided it was not right to push him.
Jean-Ricner Bellegarde was also omitted from the squad to face the Clarets.
Edwards explained Bellegarde did not report the previous day, a doctor was sent to see him, and he has a sickness bug. He has been kept away from his team-mates.
