Rob Edwards has dampened talk of a Wolves great escape, despite back-to-back wins over Villa and Liverpool leaving the Premier League's bottom club 12 points from safety and having played a game more.
ExpressAndStar.com reports that a recent upturn, paired with a favourable run-in of eight matches, has stirred optimism of a historic survival push.
"Honestly, all I can think about is just trying to win the next game," he said.
"We've clawed back a couple of points but the gap is vast so I don't look very often. If we don't win games it doesn't matter at all, does it?"
With eight to play, Edwards said only winning changes anything and he intends to keep the focus tight.
