Robbie Savage believes that Liverpool have won the Premier League title this season after Arsenal failed to win against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Arsenal played out a 1-1 draw with Man United on Sunday.
Portuguese attacking midfielder Bruno Fernandes put Man United in the lead in first-half injury time.
English midfielder Declan Rice restored parity for Arsenal in the 74th minute.
The result means that the Gunners are now second in the Premier League table with 55 points from 28 matches.
The North London outfit are as many as 15 points behind Liverpool, who have played 29 games.
Liverpool came from behind to beat Southampton 3-1 at Anfield in the Premier League on Saturday.
Former Leicester City and Derby County midfielder Savage does not think that Arsenal will catch Liverpool this season.
Savage said on BBC Radio 5 Live: “Congratulations Liverpool on winning the Premier League. The Gunners have fizzled out – again.”
While it is still only early March, it is hard to disagree with Savage’s assertion that Liverpool have won the Premier League title this season.
True, Arsenal have a game in hand, but even if the Gunners win it, they will still be 12 points behind leaders Liverpool.
Of course, there is no guarantee that Liverpool will not slip up in the final weeks of the campaign, but the Reds have lost just one Premier League game all season.
It is hard to see the Merseyside outfit lose four league games between now and the end of the campaign.
Arsenal will take on PSV at the Emirates Stadium in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League last-16 tie on Wednesday evening, having won the first leg 7-1 in the Netherlands.
Meanwhile, Liverpool will face Paris Saint-Germain at Anfield in the second leg of their last-16 tie on Tuesday evening.
The Premier League leaders beat PSG 1-0 in Paris in the first leg.
