Serie A side Milan have been making initial moves to sign Robert Lewandowski after his time at Barcelona ends. The move is facing some complications as the Rossoneri management isn’t entirely sure about a deal.

Get Italian Football News have covered initial contact for the Pole, whose entourage has actively spoken to Milan already.

Daniele Longo believes that sporting director Igli Tare is keen and so is manager Max Allegri. This is why meetings have been held with Lewandowski’s agent Pini Zahavi, who also had dinner with Tare some days ago.

The Milan sporting director wants a repeat of the Luka Modric move but Corriere della Sera make it clear that this might not be the case. This is because CEO Giogio Furlani is likely against a deal for the Poland international.

He wants to focus on younger players and not aged stars, so that the club is in line with the wage parameters in place.

This is now holding up a deal, even if Tare has laid down the a foundations.
