Brighton and Hove Albion boss Roberto de Zerbi is set to leave the club in the summer after an impressive spell at the club.

The Italian has been linked with a host of clubs and it seems as if it will become easier for clubs to sign him. The club have announced the move, stating that his adventure in the south coast of the country will end after the upcoming game against Manchester United, which is the last game of the season.

The statement also carries comments from De Zerbi himself and from Brighton chairman Tony Bloom, who was key to bringing De Zerbi to the Amex.

De Zerbi stated that he is ‘very sad’ to leave the club and that he is very proud of what they have achieved during his time at the club, as they have reached the knockout stages of the Europa League after securing a European spot last season.

He further stated: “We have agreed to end my time at Brighton so that I and the club can continue to work in the way that best suits each of us, following our ideas and visions, as well as our work and our human values.

“I have spent two intense and inspiring years working in the Premier League, competing in four major competitions this season. Leaving now gives me time to take a break before deciding on my future plans.”

De Zerbi’s staff, which includes Andrea Maldera, Ricard Segarra, Marcattilio Marcattilii, Vincenzo Teresa, Agostino Tibaudi, Marcello Quinto and Enrico Venturelli will also leave after tomorrow’s final Premier League match.
