Rodrigo Garro and Raphael Veiga among Cartola favourites who underperformed in 2025 | OneFootball

Cartola’s 2025 was unforgiving for several favourites, with injuries, reduced minutes or other factors hitting returns. According to Globo.com, Germán Cano and Rodrigo Garro, top scorers in 2022 and 2024, fell short this year.

Garro’s 2024 was outstanding, 266.60 points at a 7.63 average. Priced at C$ 23 in 2025, he appeared in round 11 and in 19 games produced three assists and 69.70 points, averaging 3.67, ending at C$ 12.25.

Raphael Veiga fell to 55.20 points at a 2.62 average, with one goal and two assists in 21 games. He hit 9.20 in round 24 and slid from C$ 21 to C$ 9.63.

Gustavo Scarpa alternated starts and the bench and finished on 98.80 points from 30 games. He had two goals and three assists.

Wagner Leonardo, a Vitória standout last year with five goals and 131.70 points, joined Grêmio. He did not score in 2025, averaged 3.19, and made 29 tackles in 27 games, dipping below one point in nine rounds.

Savarino fell from 13 goal contributions in 2024 to six, averaging 3.71 across 25 games, with 19.30 in round four and three negatives. Lucas Moura, billed as a 2025 bargain at C$ five, played 10 games, totalling 30.60 points, including 12.40 in round 20, and scored two goals.

Germán Cano, 2022’s leader with 290.80 points and 25 fantasy goals, flickered in 2025. He hit 9.30 in round 16, 19.20 in 19 and 12.80 in 20, then faded to 89.80 points at a 4.49 average with six goals.
