Roma Blow: Leon Bailey Injured in First Training Session

Jamaican winger Leon Bailey’s start at Roma's taken worrying turn after he picked up muscle injury during his very first training session with the club.

Early Setback

Bailey who joined Roma this summer on loan from Aston Villa with option to buy, stopped at the end of training while holding his leg according to Sky Sport Italia.

The club has yet to confirm the extent of the injury but fears are growing that Bailey could miss the opening Serie A fixture and possibly remain sidelined until the international break in early September.

Recurring Fitness Issues

Injuries are nothing new for the 27 year old who missed several matches for Aston Villa last season due to recurring muscle problems.

Roma'd hoped his arrival would add pace and width to their attack but his fitness will now be under close monitoring.
