In the last few games Leandro Paredes seems to have dropped in Claudio Ranieri’s hierarchy and even against Fiorentina he remained on the bench for the entire match, as happened against Hellas Verona and Inter.
One of the reasons could also be linked to an economic issue.
As revealed by calciomercato.it, the Argentine midfielder arrived in the capital in the summer of 2023 from PSG for 2.5 million euros plus 2 in bonuses upon reaching 80 appearances and signed a contract until 30 June 2025.
At the moment the player has played 79 games in these two years, which is why if he were to take the field in one of the last three matchdays of Serie A, the payment (divided into installments) of the bonus would automatically be triggered.
It should be noted that the matches he will play in the 2025/26 season are not included in the calculation, given that the agreement with PSG was until 30 June 2025.
