Roma are keen to sign Inter Milan and Canada wingback Tajon Buchanan during the January transfer window.
This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio. He reports on his homepage that the Giallorossi are thinking of making an offer for the 25-year-old, though Inter don’t want to loan him out.
Roma are ready to make reinforcements in the January window.
The capital club have currently found themselves mired in the middle of the Serie A table. That is clearly well below expectations.
Therefore, the Giallorossi are aiming to make at least a couple of signings this month.
The most high profile transfer links to Roma have been with Inter midfielder Davide Frattesi.
However, Frattesi is not the only Nerazzurri player who the Giallorossi have an interest in signing, reports Di Marzio.
On the flanks, Roma consider Inter wingback Buchanan to be a target.
However, as of yet, the Giallorossi have yet to make an offer for the Canadian.
According to Di Marzio, Inter are not overly interested in the idea of loaning Buchanan out. They would therefore expect a cash bid that meets their valuation if they’re to consider allowing him to leave this month.
Buchanan joined Inter during the January transfer window of last season. He came in from Club Brugge, becoming the first ever Canadian player in Serie A.
However, Buchanan has not been a regular starter for Inter by any means.
Moreover, the 25-year-old also had to come back from a serious injury this season. He suffered a leg break during the summer while with the Canadian national team.
