Roma have exercised the €25m option to sign Donyell Malen after his loan from Aston Villa, according to Voetbal International, making a swift permanent exit this summer highly likely.
Malen joined Villa from Borussia Dortmund in January last year and produced a decent spell under Unai Emery.

Despite scoring seven times this season, the 27-year-old departed on loan to Roma a year after his arrival.
He has excelled in Italy, scoring 12 goals across Serie A and the Europa League.
His form has helped Roma reclaim a place in the Champions League.
