According to L'Équipe, the Roma v Lazio derby will go ahead on Sunday at 12.00 after the Italian league reached an agreement with local authorities to avoid a Monday switch.

The match, part of matchday 37, had been set for Sunday at 12.30, but the Rome prefecture moved it to Monday evening to avoid security issues with the Rome Masters 1000 tennis final at the Foro Italico, near the Stadio Olimpico.

The league challenged that decision in administrative court. After talks, a compromise was reached, bringing kick-off forward by 30 minutes to increase separation from the tennis final.

The league has also presented a dedicated security plan to coordinate both events.

The adjustment averts a Serie A scheduling problem. Since 2025, teams still competing for the same targets must play the final two rounds at the same time, and several clubs remain in contention for European places, including Roma, who are fifth before matchday 37.
