He’s such a good player, and such a well appreciated one now, that it’s easy to forget how little Vitinha was known when he came to PSG in 2022.

The midfielder had had a really positive season for Porto – but lots of players have great seasons in Portugal without being able to replicate that at a higher level.

Well Vitinha certainly has – not only in Ligue 1, but also in the Champions League. Fabrizio Romano noted something quite incredible about the midfielder’s run since coming to the Parc des Princes.

To have a midfield player with that mix of skill and durability in the modern day is truly a super weapon, and in Luis Enrique they have the perfect manager to get the most out of him year after year.
