Rômulo is enjoying a resurgence at Novorizontino, with five goal involvements in four Paulistão outings for the league leaders. According to Globo.com, the 24-year-old, on loan from Palmeiras, has been involved in goals in each of his last five appearances and in five of the team’s 13 goals this season. While Robson leads the competition with seven goals in five games, Rômulo has emerged as another key figure.

The run began on the final day of the 2025 Série B, when he scored twice in a 3-0 win over CRB, ending a wait of one year and eight months, 53 games, to score again.

He assisted in the 2-1 defeat to Santos at Vila Belmiro, then added another in the 2-0 win over Guarani.

Against Primavera he scored and assisted in a 4-3 win, then converted a penalty to open the scoring in the 2-0 success against Botafogo-SP.

He has missed only one game this season, sitting out the meeting with Palmeiras due to contract terms.

Sold to Palmeiras after a strong 2023 Série B and an impressive 2024 Paulistão, he could not replicate that form, logging one assist and no goals in 16 outings under Abel Ferreira.

A loan to Ceará for the 2025 Série B brought 21 appearances and one assist, before an early return and a route back to Novorizontino.

Initially re-joining through the end of last year’s Série B, his loan was renewed for this campaign. Since returning, he has four goals and four assists in 20 matches.
