Ruben Amorim says he is “really happy” with Tyrell Malacia following his return to action in the 3-2 win over Bodo/Glimt on Thursday.

Speaking to MUTV, Amorim said on the full back’s return:

“It was really huge for him, the confidence of everybody, I think he did very well.

“He was more than a year without playing and the way he behaved, so brave with the ball, I’m really happy with him.”

The words will be a great boost for the Dutchman, who struggled to make an impact in the game and was beaten for pace for Glimt’s first goal. He was subbed off at half time.

The coach also confirmed that there could be other players returning to the squad in tomorrow’s game against Everton.

“Maybe. We have to see. We have one more training. But maybe. If not in the starting XI then they will be on the bench.”

This could refer to Harry Maguire, who is back in full training following an injury, Jonny Evans, who missed Thursday’s game due to a knock, or even Leny Yoro, who is yet to make his competitive debut for the club.

Luke Shaw has already had some minutes in the last two games and is expected to continue his reintegration.

All hands will be needed on deck for the Red Devils, who have nine matches to play in December.

Speaking about the congested fixture schedule, Amorim said:

“Everybody has to play. And everybody has to recover. And we are doing all that, with all the staff.

“Nutrition, all the physios, we are all together working nonstop to recover the players, to implement a new style of play, and we are ready to cope with the demands of this schedule.”

United play Everton at Old Trafford at 1.30pm tomorrow.
