Out-of-favour attacker Marcus Rashford is set to have his future solely decided by Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim, according to the Times.

In the aftermath of comments speculating it was time for him to leave the club, Rashford has since been omitted from each of United’s last three matchday squads/

Amorim has stated the decision to leave Rashford out of late has been solely his, and while a return to the squad against Wolverhampton Wanderers remains feasible, he has issued no guarantees.

Rashford burst onto the scene by scoring twice on his debut against Midtjylland back in February 2016 and has been a first-team regular since.

He enjoyed a stellar 2022/23 campaign, scoring an impressive 30 goals across all competitions, but his performances in the subsequent seasons have often left a lot to be desired.

The 27-year-old has divided opinion amongst the United faithful over the last couple of years.

Some sections of the fanbase believe he has done enough in the past to warrant some patience, while others believe he should be moved on.

Ahead of a potentially defining January transfer window, current Red Devils boss Amorim will reportedly be granted the power to do as he sees fit regarding Rashford’s future.

Rashford was previously courted by Ligue 1 outfit Paris Saint-Germain, but it is unclear if they retain an interest, having snapped up Bradley Barcola and Desire Doue in recent transfer windows.

Saudi Pro League clubs are keen on bringing Rashford to the Middle East, although it is highly unlikely he will be open to a move outside Europe at this stage of his career.
